We’re committed to safeguarding the welfare of animals farmed to produce the materials used in our products. You won’t find any down or feathers, fur, angora or mohair in our products and we’re working with partners to improve standards in wool production. We have also ensured that all FatFace branded cosmetics and toiletries are certified not tested on animals.
Our animal welfare policy outlines the expectations we have of our suppliers to ensure animals are raised, transported and slaughtered under recognised higher animal welfare standards. These standards are based on the OIE’s Animal Health Codes or the Farm Animal Welfare Committee’s Five Freedoms that state animals should be:

Does FatFace use Feather or Down?
No. We are part of PETA’s list of retailers that have committed to keep feather or down out of our collections. Since summer 2017, we have not used down or feathers in any of our products. We instead use synthetic fillers, and where possible we use a partially-recycled polyester insulation that has similar warmth properties to down.
Does FatFace use Fur, Mohair or Angora?
No. None of our products contain any animal fur, mohair or angora. This is due to the inhumane methods that can be used to breed animals for pelts and harvest mohair and angora.
Does FatFace use Animal Testing?
No. To be sure that there’s no animal testing in our supply chain we use the Leaping Bunny Standard.
FatFace believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements. All of our own-brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.
