FatFace Code of Conduct

Since becoming part of the NEXT Group in 2023, we have also adopted the NEXT PLC Code of Practice framework for our supply chain due diligence. NEXT's Code of Practice Principle Standards is its ethical trading programme, which sets out the minimum standards and requirements for product suppliers and their factories in relation to workers' safety and human rights, employment and working conditions.

Transparency within our global supply chain

Fashion supply chains are categorised into factory “tiers”, based on their proximity to the final product. We map the tiers of our supply chain regularly to gain deeper insights into our sourcing and help inform our salient risk assessment.

Tier 1

Factories, where bulk production takes place, are categorised as Tier 1 factory sites. Click here for a list * of Tier 1 sites that produce FatFace branded products. To support industry-wide transparency the list is also available on the Open Supply Hub .

Tier 2

Tier 2 refers to a subcontractor of a Tier 1 factory. This can be in one of three categories of sites, as declared by our suppliers where the FatFace brand is visible:
• Manufacturer / Processor e.g. embroidery or laundry unit
• Components & Trims e.g. buttons, zips
• Labels & Packaging e.g. care labels, boxes, bags

We have begun auditing our Tier 2 supply chain, starting with our nominated suppliers. This work is underway, and we will continue to progress through the remaining factories over time. Click here for a list of our nominated supplier Tier 2 sites. We have implemented TrusTrace, a traceability platform, that supports our goal of increasing supply chain visibility towards Tier 5 by 2030.

*Supply chain information is as per the date of each list. Changes will occur and our aim is to update the supply chain lists every six months.

To enhance transparency and support worker well-being across our supply chain, we are implementing TIMBY, a digital grievance-reporting platform, for Tier 1 only (for roll out plans, visit our ESG page). TIMBY provides factory workers with a safe, accessible, and confidential way to raise concerns, ensuring issues are identified and addressed quickly and responsibly.

Selecting our partners

We have a strict criteria for selecting our partners, choosing those who share our commitment to respecting labour and environmental standards. And we provide guidance and support to help our suppliers achieve these standards so that we can continue to build long-term, stable relationships.
