Style Stories: How to Style Our Dresses

Every year is a great year for dresses. We have had so many classics (who remembers our Ava Mini Ditsy, our Laurie Gingham and our Wilma Confetti dresses?!); and we are not stopping this winter. Just because it is colder out is no excuse to hide away your gorgeous dresses. We have chosen a few of our favourites and are sharing how we would style them. Hopefully it inspires you to put on a dress today!

THE CORD DRESS

A staple no winter wardrobe should be without; cord is warm, soft and on-trend. Our Amelie Cord Dress is the perfect combination of shirt styling and supersoft cord. Wear a cord dress with boots and some warming winter accessories for effortless casual style.

THE VELVET DRESS

A party is the perfect opportunity to wear that extra special piece and feel absolutely amazing. This year we are all about introducing velvet dresses into our wardrobe. One of the easiest ways to dress up this season is in our Teri Velvet Dress. A classic wrap shape, it suits every frame and is so easy to style. Wear it with knee-high boots, a hair accessory and some simple earrings. The dress is the star of the show but you definitely want to match it with equally beautiful pieces for the complete look.

THE DRESS FOR ANY SEASON

Some dresses are great for every season and the Nola Poppy Meadow Dress is one of those. Perfect for really chilly winter days with tights and boots or worn through to the spring with classic white trainers; you will get so much enjoyment from it. For us it's the perfect dress to take us from coffee dates to the office and playdates with friends. Our favourite way to style our casual dresses is with some great black leather lace up boots, a classic but practical leather backpack and a much-loved denim jacket. Add a big chunky scarf if you get cold!

THE 'WRITTEN IN THE STARS' DRESS

We are a little bit obsessed with all things celestial this season so just had to share our Madagan Celestial dress. The celestial inspired embroidery is stitched with sparkly thread to make it feel extra special for this season. The flattering long sleeve shape, adjustable waist tie, and always wearable black make it a dress that will see you through the rest of the winter and out of party season too.
