My Weekend Adventure with FatFace

April 12, 2018

Hi all! It’s Jordan from Hello Miss Jordan here, and I am buzzing to be guest writing on the FatFace blog! A couple of weeks ago myself and two other lovely bloggers, Immy and Fifi, had the pleasure of joining the FatFace team at The Garlic Farm on the beautiful Isle of Wight for the weekend. All dressed up in our FatFace threads, we were so excited to explore all that the Garlic Farm had to offer, from the (obviously) amazing food to the wildlife. We were well and truly set with everything we could possibly need, and I couldn’t wait to take my new pieces out for a spin.

Everyone needs a little red dress and a straw hat for spring! I was also very happy for it to be warm enough to rock bare legs on this day. Immy went for the same dress (which was absolutely perfect as we’re often told we look like each other!).

The team had some fabulous activities lined up for us over the weekend, from candle making to creating the perfect Bloody Mary. My favourite of them all had to be cooking our own garlic mushrooms and wow — they were amazing! Garlic is one of my all-time favourite foods, so luckily for me I felt right at home amongst the cloves.

To me, dungarees just fill me with nostalgia of my childhood. When I was little my mum and I had matching pairs! So, the Vintage Blue Dungarees might be my favourite new wardrobe essential. They’re perfect for every season, from spring with a cute check top underneath (like I’ve done here!), to winter with a cosy knit. Plus, they’re incredibly comfy which is always a bonus. Hop on a pair of Rockfish wellies and you’re ready for anything, including some close encounters of the Bovine kind!

Now I have to say, one of my favourite things that FatFace do is their incredible loungewear. It’s supersoft, super cosy and if it was socially acceptable I’d be living in it 24/7! When the temperature dropped a bit on our second day, I took advantage of our gorgeous new pieces and went full loungewear, just as the snow began to fall outside. Fifi and Immy went for something a little more normal! These girls can rock some stripes!

We were also lucky enough to have a talk from Jo, one of the designers at FatFace, who talked us through the gorgeous new spring collection and gave us some very cool insider knowledge about how the clothes are made. Learning more about how patterns are chosen and how ethical sourcing is important just made me love the brand even more. We also got a sneak preview of the new summer collection and — no spoilers — there are some pieces that I cannot WAIT to get my hands on!

Our weekend with FatFace was honestly truly amazing. Getting to learn more about the clothes while still having an epic time is what it’s all about! The Isle of Wight is also a stunning place, which always helps! Plus, spending it with these beautiful girls was just the cherry on top!

Thank you so much to the FatFace team for sending us on such an awesome adventure and for having me on their blog! Be sure to check out me, Fifi and Immy to see more from our time in the Isle of Wight!
