What we’re gifting
2020 has been tough year (and continues to be so). With more time spent away from our loved ones than we’re used to, the gifts we’re giving this Christmas and the reasons behind it have changed a little. That’s why our crew are getting their thinking caps on early and sorting gifts for their loved ones. So we asked a few of our lovely crew to share what they’re giving this year and why.
“Rumour has it, my dad (who is terribly tricky to buy for), taught me how to surf before I could walk, but I know for sure he taught me to respect and love the ocean! So, this water bottle is a perfect reminder of our favourite place to hang out. I’d also like to get him an Airlie. It’s perfect for checking the waves in the morning or for hiking. It’s certainly unlike anything in the surf shops in California and is sure to be used often!"
“Every year, without fail, I get my mum a pair of our comfy slippers. This year’s choice is the Cable Knit Slipper Boots. They have rubber soles, which is great if she needs to nip outside. She’s worked all through lockdown and deserves a well-earned rest.”
“My sister is obsessed with our pyjamas and loves anything cosy for cold nights. Our Snuggle Top is gorgeous and, matched with a pair of our comfy Christmas themed Lounge Pants, is the perfect present for under the tree. As a primary school teacher, she deserves a gift to relax and de-stress.”
“My nan isn’t well, so I’d really love to cheer her up with lots of lovely cosy things to make her feel snug and keep her warm through winter. Some lounge pants, a soft hoody, a scented candle and some snuggly socks will be perfect. I’ll use my home-made gift tags to give these to her with an extra personal touch."
“My wife’s a drama teacher who spends all day on her feet. So, some comfortable nightwear for her to cosy into after a long day is perfect (you can’t really go wrong with it!). This year I’ve got my eye on the Soft Contrast Robe which looks amazingly soft.”
“This year, I want to give a gift to my best friend Hannah who recently moved up north as a newly qualified doctor. She’s doing a fab job so far, away from home on her own in a really difficult time and I think she’s amazing! I want to gift her the Sienna Suede Tote bag as she’s always on the go and loves to travel. I might chuck in a gin book too, because I imagine she probably deserves a good drink at the end of a long shift!”
“Let’s not forget the socks! Our 3 for 2 socks are perfect for stocking up on the stocking fillers!"
“My mum got really ill with Covid, so she definitely deserves a treat now that she’s better! She’s my rock and my best friend. I know she’ll love a Taylor Waterproof Jacket. The fabric is comfortable for her as she doesn’t like lots of padding, but because it’s wind and waterproof it will still keep her warm and dry, whatever the weather!"
“I’ll also be buying her a selection of our Organic Cotton Bretons as she loves the feel of the fabric, the length and the scoop style at the bottom. A perfect layering piece for her.”
