This has got the climbing world talking and only goes to further establish Steve as a true legend within his sport. Here's what Steve had to say about this amazing climb:
"Rhapsody stood out instantly as an obvious challenge, clearly extremely difficult physically, but having the advantage of being a traditional route without the guarenteed 'death' badge. Death routes have never appealed. The climbing looked awesome, long sections of climbing in a very exposed position. I wanted to try it from the first time I heard about it.
Rhapsody has a sport feel about it.....with a dose of spice, a large dose!
On lead I took a fall, it was massive, falling around sixty feet and almost the full height of the route, but the fall was safe, well, I'm still here anyway. But I underestimated the route. There is a lot more climbing above where I fell, and on my successful lead I had to dig deeper than I have for a long time. The last move was as close as it gets. Perhaps if I'd fallen I'd have known just how dangerous the route was for sure...."
