- Leading a hard 4+, -5 ice waterfall. 2nd place at the Icelandic Rock Climbing Championship. Icelandic champion in jumping on Telemark skis.
- Why this sport?
- The feeling of being on the top a good climb is the best ever, stomping a new trick or dropping a cliff on the snowboard come close.
- How did you get into it?
- I learned to ice climb in my rescue team and got hooked on it. My brother taught me to snowboard and I was hooked again.
- What next?
- Mixing my two sports together; climbing a lot of big mountains and then freeriding down.
- Any other sports?
- Mountaineering, Telemark Skiing (the strange style with the loose heels) and Whitewater kayaking.
- Favourite event and why?
- AK extreme. A snowboarding festival in Iceland where every snowboarder in Iceland shows up and it’s always a lot of fun!
- Favourite place in the world?
- A beautiful natural geothermal hot pool in the Icelandic wilderness which only few people know about, but I'm not going to tell you where it is!
- Training regime?
- Snowboarding and climbing as often as I can and the most important; doing it for fun.
- What makes you good at your sport?
- I have a passion for what I do.
- Advice to others wanting to get into the sport?
- Do an ice climbing course or get someone who knows how to do it to teach you. It's not a good sport to learn on your own, the mistakes come at high price. Snowboarding is different, many people learn it just by going to the mountains and strapping their board on, but it's of course better to have someone to teach you so you learn it properly.
