Why this sport?
It’s a real challenge. Everywhere you turn in skiing u have a mountain to climb, literally! Also there is the factor of speed along with danger!
How did you get into it?
My dad skied in the RAF and took me to the dry slope in Trowse, Norwich to have lessons. I’ve been hooked ever since!
What next?
Should race Europa Cup Downhill & Super G next season. Getting into the GB Senior team, racing World Cup & Olympics! Who knows?!
Any other sports?
Basketball. I love to play B/ball in my spare time as it is another challenge and a good laugh.Playing 7-a-side Football on Tuesday nights with the lads – when I’m home!
Favourite event and why?
British Senior & Junior champs, because you are competing against every one in Britain. The competitors are all good friends and have a great laugh off the slopes!
Favourite place in the world?
So far Canada, but I hope to travel the rest of the world!
Training regime?
Training full time with the GB FIS team. May to Oct fitness training 6 days per week approx 3 hours a day. I also have a number of ski training camps on glaciers plus 2 fitness camps in Austria. After October it’s full on Ski training in Austria then I should start my race programme in December.
What makes you good at your sport?
Staying extremely fit!!
Advice to others wanting to get into the sport?
