Staying on land we got down and dirty with All Terrain Boarding (ATB) for Night Air, the Fat Face World Freestyle Championships at South West Mountain Board Centre, Bideford. Fat Face Team Rider Tom Kirkman was back to defend his title on the worlds largest combination of dirt jumps against riders from around the globe. The weekend was also part of the ATBA UK tour and attracted in excess of 200 riders.

The Boarder X took place during the day and then with the light fading the guys took to the big jumps. An incredible display of jumping with different styles being noted between the countries. A particular mention must go to the Japanese riders for attempting a double back flip (twice!!).

The Judges were put under enormous pressure as the competition was so close. In the end the decision was made and Alex Downie was crowned World Champion with Tom Kirkman in close second.
