TJ Baldwin - Uk's No 1 Junior Skier
14th April 2008
Team Rider TJ (Skiing) has finished off the season in brilliant style at the British champs. The young star emerged as Under 18 Champion in all 5 events in the senior category, making him the U18 Overall combined Champion - the first time anyone has won all U18 titles! Well done TJ!

Fat Face Team Rider TJ Baldwin has been extremely busy over the last 6 months. Here is a quick update of what he's been up to...
Since the start of the season in August 07 TJ has competed in 53 International races in South America & Europe. That's one busy calendar! He kicked off his list of successes with two 2nd places in Junior’s at the South American Cup Super G races in Chile which lifted his ranking to 10th in the World for his age (17yrs) and No 1 Junior in the UK for Super G! His success continued in Europe with 6 top 15 results including a 1st and 3rd in two Giant Slalom (GS) National Junior races in Switzerland.
A long list of great results ensued and by January, TJ had secured his place in the GB Team for the 2008/09 season! TJ was then selected to go to the World Junior Champs in Spain and although his results were not his best, it spurred him on to gain another podium position at a GS race in Austria, further securing his place at the top of the GB Junior rankings!
So with 4 weeks of racing left this season TJ is ranked No1 Junior (U21) in GB at Super G & GS; and No3 in Downhill & Slalom – he is still only 17! He is also still ranked in the top 50 in the World age 17 for Super G. Well done TJ!
What next for the Norfolk lad? Well his goal for the rest of the season is to score low enough FIS world ranking points to make him No1 Junior in GB in all 4 events, to win most if not all of the British Junior titles and to get at least 1 podium at the British Senior champs. Good luck TJ!
Keep an eye on Fat Face News to find out how TJ gets on.
