Having been on the Fat Face Team for 5 years, Bryony secured her spot on the Olympic podium with a well deserved Bronze medal! Bryony races in the Women’s RS:X Windsurfing class. After first learning to windsurf at 8 years old on a family holiday in France, Bryony got the bug and went on to become the first British woman ever to have won an Olympic medal in Windsurfing!
The Olympic Games was a really tough week for Bryony with highs and lows and the medal race was extremely close between Bryony and the Italian, Chinese and Spanish sailors, but she worked really hard and overcame all of the challenges and climb up to the top three.
Speaking immediately after the race Bryony said: “I’m just so, so happy, it was such a tough race and has been such a tough week and I’m just so happy, it’s the best thing in the World.
“I just went out to sail as fast as I could and well done to the Chinese and Italian girls, that was really, really tough racing right until the end.
“I love my mum and dad so much, they have been so supportive and my boyfriend Greg. And my coach Dom (Tidey) is a legend!”
Fat Face is delighted by Bryony’s achievement and would like to send out big Well Done to her on her success. Bryony was also proud to be wearing her specially designed Fat Face Bikini and Boardies throughout the Games that helped take her to the top,
"I am very grateful to Fat Face for giving me the opportunity to design my own boardies and bikini with windsurfing performance and comfort in mind. My custom boardies fit snug inside my windsurfing racing seat harness. My bikini has a feminine triangle shape, but with the addition of adjustable straps that cross over the back so avoiding any uncomfortable strain on my neck…I will be proud wearing them competing for Britain in the RS:X Women's Class at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games."
