We spent the day climbing rocks, finding stunning views that felt like no-one else had discovered, then we spent the night lying on the powder white sands staring at an ocean of stars above our heads, and even caught glimpses of shooting stars. We were the only ones on the beach the whole day!

To sail in to a blank white beach, the sun behind you and food ready to cook on an open fire as the sun sets - that is living!

Where else in the world can you have beautiful white sand, swim in warm water amongst the turtles and feed the sting ray by hand!

It was different!! Kayaking around the island and connecting islands was beautiful, carrying everything you have in a tiny bag in a kayak moving under your own power is amazing. being so close to the water and the sea life and getting places no one can get to from land or buy boat is incredible. The rocky beaches makes no difference when only you ahve your friends can make it there. Peacful and full of suprises. The Vancouver area has it all, sand or rocky beaches for everyone to explore if you have the sense of adventure to go and find those hidden treasures!!

The surf was fantastic, the sand was a beautiful white and sqeaked underfoot as you walked. And to top it all the sun just shone and shone. A completely cool place to be.

We ran out with our body boards into the tumbling surf and it was me and the kids and 11 kilometres of beach! Well, we may have been sharing it but it didn't feel like it. It's gotta be the best beach in the world, looking out to an active volcano - no action there but plenty on the waves. It's in the gorgeously named 'Bay of Plenty', where there is plenty of luxurious sand and warm sun and, as the sun sinks over the mountains, fires are lit dotting the beach with a golden glow, all you need is a cold glass of chardonnay to sip as you sit down on the still warm sand and realise why the New Zealanders call thier place God's Own Country.

It's like no other 'beach holiday'. A rock climbing holiday where the boulders are within a beautiful forest and a sand floor. Climbing paradise with soft sand landings.... sublime.

8 of us went camping at a great campsite near port einon. We had a fantastic weekend. Walking along the coast, by day and chilling at the camsite with a couple of beers by night. We took a boat trip around the coast flew kites and had a fantasic fish and chips. This was paradise for me.

It's a pretty incredible feeling to be able to head out with your board on Christmas day. You've got the beach to yourself, the surf is amazing and afterwards you can eat all the Christmas turkey and pudding you want without feeling guilty!
